The course is basically designed for teachers and non-psychologists who would need some basic skills of counselling in their profession. However, this course would not license the participant to become a professional counsellor. The participants will be issued certificates after completion of the course.
The course would help them identify the problems of those who approach them. Identification would prevent mishandling of the cases to a great extent which I observe happens very often (My concern about mishandling is the main reason for designing this course); the course would also equip the participants with skills to guide those individuals to the right source for help. This course has been designed due to public demand by members of such organisations who would like to equip themselves to face challenges in their helping profession.
